Thank you Red Lodge! Last year 1,087 Diapers, 20 packages of baby wipes, 76 rolls of toilet paper, 95 tubes of toothpaste, 176 bars or soap, 29 packages of feminine products, 324 sticks of deodorant, and many other much needed toiletries were collected as part of toiletry drive by AmeriCorps Vista at the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation. In total $2193 worth of toiletries were collected to benefit friends and neighbors in our community.
Do you want to do it again? This 9/11-day of service we hope to repeat that incredible kindness by hosting another toiletry drive. Together, with DSVS, Bare Tooth Cupboard, and Bridger Foodbank, we can replenish the stock of these much needed disposable items. Vistas will be hosting a kick off collection day on 9/11 at Beartooth Market and collection boxes will also be available from September 11th – 25th around town, including the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, Beartooth Market, and the Post Office. Toiletries are one of the easiest things to donate yet they are also one of the most easily overlooked necessities. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, soap, shampoo, mouthwash, disposable razors, baby wipes, diapers, feminine hygiene products, laundry soap, facial tissues, sponges, and Band-Aids can all make a direct impact in the life of someone in need.
