Mission: We are dedicated to supporting artistic culture and providing opportunities for artists to exhibit their skills and network within our community.
What are you fundraising for this year?
This year we would like to expand our activities during ArtWalk to include more opportunities to directly engage visitors in making their own art. We are offering free art-making activities to visitors of all ages in Pride Park during each ArtWalk event. We will also continue to use funds to enhance our outreach to artists and ensure that they will have a variety of venues to showcase their work.
What impact will funds have on your mission and community?
We believe that art not only can be appreciated by all, but that people of all ages and abilities benefit from creating art for themselves. Art-making has been proven to reduce stress, boost self-esteem, and provide a means for self-expression and self-discovery. In addition, by engaging the community in the arts, visitors will expand their appreciation of working artists as they view and connect with the artists showing during Art Walk.
If you participated last year, what did you use the funds for?
Funds were used to update and upgrade marketing efforts to include a website, social media venues, and printed materials as well as offer several off-season art-making opportunities.
