Mission: To provide provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, fostering physical fitness, courage, joy, and community inclusion, while challenging discrimination and creating a world of acceptance through the power of sport. They empower athletes to develop skills, confidence, and find fulfillment, inspiring broader communities to see human potential beyond disabilities.
What are you fundraising for this year?
We are raising funds so our athletes can continue to participate in year-round training and competitions, to be held in Missoula and Butte next year. Our funds will be used for transportation, food and lodging at these competitions as well as purchasing uniforms and equipment for bowling, basketball, bocce, athletics and golf.
What impact will funds have on your mission and community?
Fun Run funds make it possible to travel to various events and competitions throughout the year. The athletes and coaches are able to focus on training rather than fundraising through the year.
If you participated last year, what did you use the funds for?
We used our funds to travel to Helena for the State Basketball Tournament and to Billings for the State Bowling tournament. The funds helped pay for hotel rooms, meals, registration fees, and fuel.
