Senior Ark supports episodic, and often, emergency needs of people 65 and older who reside in Carbon County and live in poverty or low-income situations. The Senior Ark Fund is meant to enable seniors to age in their place of choice for as long as possible and is mainly used to fund essential home repairs. Funds are reserved for individuals with an episodic need for financial support for essential basic needs. The application process is simple. Applications are reviewed within 72 hours of receipt and are always 100% confidential.

The max funding amount per request is $1000.

The fund will fund an applicant no more than twice a year.

The applicant must be 65 or older.

Medical expenses are not within the scope of this fund.

The funds are to be sent directly to the business or organization that provides home repairs. However, the homeowner must order the work.

A site visit may be conducted by an impartial individual to verify the needs of the applicant.

Each type of project can receive funding once. Ongoing projects will not be funded.

Snow or debris removal is not within the scope of this fund.
