The Educating Emerging Artist fund received a generous, and much needed, $2,000 donation that will help support more artists in our community. The fund was created through inspiration from A Place for Our Arts, a community group focused on developing arts and culture in our community. The Artists fund is designed to support artists of all creative backgrounds and experiences by providing assistance for attending classes, camps, and workshops as well as some funds for supplies and materials necessary to help artists learn new skills and reach their full potential. “I am ecstatic about this donation and the impact it will have for artists in our community,” says AmeriCorps Vista Alex Albright.

Other donations to the fund helped make grants possible to a variety of purposes including a local Red Lodge student to repair their clarinet and another local artist launch a website for their artwork. “I am very pleased with the way the fund is going and with the grants we have been able to give up to this point.” said David Hiltner, a fund representative.
