Missoula Children’s Theater

Swashbucklers needed!
Are you a school aged kid who’s always wanted to try out acting but you just don’t know where to start? This is your chance to be a star in the play Blackbeard the Pirate for free.
Coming up in February 2024, the Missoula Children’s Theater team will return to the Roosevelt Center to lead local student actors in theater – from auditions to the final curtain of performance.
During the evenings for six consecutive days, directors will lead auditions, rehearsals and two free performances of Blackbeard the Pirate at the Roosevelt Center. The public is welcome to attend the FREE performances!
Adult volunteers are also needed to help supervise rehearsals. For more information, email Susan at susanm@rlacf.org.

Free Public Performance of As You Like It October 28th 6:30

Monday Oct. 30 Private Performance of As you Like It for Red Lodge area schools at the Roosevelt Center

As You Like It. Directed by Melanie Keller and targeted to enthrall middle school & high school kids,  this production will be offered to students in the way it was meant to be presented – in an engaging live performance.
As You Like It subverts traditional tales of romance when gender roles, nature, and politics are all mixed up in a play that reflects how bewildering yet utterly wonderful life can be. Accompanied by a lively post-show talkbacks and workshops, all students are sure to enjoy one of Shakespeare’s first folio masterpieces.
