In a climate like Red Lodge, we Montanans must take advantage of every bit of our short warm weather days. One way we kick off the brief season by celebrating Earth Week and Arbor Day jointly.

This year, from April 19-24, residents can find abundant opportunities to learn more about reducing their impact and how to help “Restore Our Earth,” which is the Earth Day 2021 theme. Weather permitting, the annual Earth Day Block Party will be hosted outdoors at Lions Park on April 24th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to wrap up the week.

The City of Red Lodge, Parks Board, and Sustainability Board is inviting organizations and groups to table at the event. In the past, we have had kids’ activities, bike adoptions, information on sustainable initiatives and responsible recreation, face painting, tree planting and care tips, story hour, and more.

This is a free event to the public. Please reach out to Courtney, clong@cityofredlodge.com or (406) 446-1606 ext. 118 before Friday, April 9th if you would like to contribute to this wonderful event.
