As we look back on the many challenges of 2020, BareTooth Cupboards Board members wish to thank this community for the tremendous outpouring of support in spite of the pandemic. Because of that support, we were able to keep the store open regular hours the entire year with all requisite safety protocols in place. Thus, we were able to continue serving our less fortunate neighbors during those especially difficult times.
Many of our dedicated volunteers stepped up to take extra shifts to help cover for other volunteers who were at higher risk and therefore unable to work. Our donors also definitely continued to contribute their support. As we enter 2021, we look forward to that continued support while hoping that the new year will bring circumstances that allow us to return to more normal operating procedures at some point. For now, we will continue to use “call in orders” and will not be accepting food donations.
On the bright side, we recently launched a new Sponsor a Family program which provides opportunities our donors to make contributions specifically designated to support certain size families. We will be providing significantly more information about this program in the near future.
