The Youth Mentoring program that was incubated and developed at the
Foundation for the past three years has found its permanent home at DSVS and the Power Up Speak Out Youth Curriculum. The staff at DSVS is thrilled to bring the Youth Mentoring program to their organization and has designated staff time for training, service, and development.

The three year, in-depth community engagement approach to develop a
effective youth centered program included community volunteers of all ages, parents, school staff, and AmeriCorps VISTAs, and partner organizations like Rotary and DSVS/Power Up Speak Out. The program has been time tested,
includes long-term planning, and our initial $43K investment.

The spirit of mentoring is equipping youth with confidence by providing a
caring adult who listens to a child explore and share their talents, support and encouragement.

DSVS has given Youth Mentoring a permanent home and is providing training for new mentors. They are enthusiastically adopting the program to become their own.

If you have any questions about the Youth Mentoring Program, please contact DSVS.
