IMG_8968Tiffany Poore was honored with the Outstanding High School Youth Philanthropist Award at the AFP Celebration and Awards. She was humbly able to accept via Skype. Her acceptance was heartfelt and enthusiastic. Tiffany feels so honored that she was a part of so many great projects and she will continue to pursue these efforts.

Tiffany Poore is a natural born leader that worked very hard to develop the Red Lodge High School recycling program that expanded to include a set of solar panels that will further reduce the high schools’ carbon footprint.

She has made many impacts for the High School and our Community. Tiffany jumped in and helped whenever duty called whether with the Lunch In The Sun Program, the Green Team, and co-authoring the document that resulted in Red Lodge High School winning the statewide SMART (Saving Money and Resources Today) Recycling Championship status.

She was integral in implementing the award winning recycling program at school sporting events. This program was responsible for reducing the amount of recyclables in in the waste stream by 66%. After the success of the program, it was expanded into the classrooms at RLHS.

Tiffany’s dreams live on with the continuing developments of the Harvest the Wind Project. Tiffany was a part of the team that developed the original idea for the Wind Turbine. Though she has graduated and moved on, the efforts move forward.

She continues to pursue dreams of a sustainable world. Now a college student at Colby College pursuing an environmental emphasis degree and focusing on sustainability. Tiffany is striving everyday to make the world a better place and aims to preserve it for future generations of young philanthropists.
