Pro Cut Green Fund Awards $1,500

Pro Cut Lawn and Landscape recently partnered with the High School Green Team to review Green Fund grant applications. The group ranked a total of seven applications seeking over $9,000 in funding. They funded the following for organizations for a total of $1,500:

-Carbon County Historical Society, $630: Funds will be used to create an outdoor space for museum patrons with a picnic table, floral planters and cleanup of the current space.

-Luther PTA, $400: Funds will be used to plant apple trees on the playground at the school. The trees will provide shade and valuable experience for students through planting and caring for the trees and then enjoying the fruits of their labor.

-Red Lodge Youth Garden, $470: Funds will be used to prepare the garden with new tools, repairing the compost bin, building a DIY greenhouse table for plant starters, and supplies for lesson plans.

Ava Graham, member of the Red Lodge High School Green Team, shared this about her experience of working with Pro Cut Lawn and Landscape to review grant applications, “I think that all of the students involved in the Green Team feel proud to be a part of a club that is sought out to share opinions that will benefit both our community and the environment in a positive way.” Connect with Abby to learn more.
