As with many of our traditions in 2020, the current health climate has forced us to look outside of our normal routine. Since December, 2017, the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation has recruited volunteers and raised funds through the annual kettle drive (at Beartooth Market and Christmas Stroll), and distributes the funds through the Salvation Army service unit to Carbon County citizens in need. This year we are holding a virtual Kettle Drive.

How these funds help: Rent assistance, Utilities, auto repair, fuel cards, groceries, clothing.

Funds Raised over the Holiday through a kettle drive: Between $5200-$6785.

90% OF THE FUNDS RAISED REMAIN IN CARBON COUNTY

Individuals living in the following communities have received assistance through Salvation Army: Roberts, Joliet, Fromberg, Bridger, Belfry, Bearcreek & Red Lodge

The purpose of the Salvation Army is to meet human needs, often episodic and emergent, without discrimination.  100% of the funds are raised during the kettle drive between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and 90% of the funds raised remain in Carbon County.

The Salvation Army can help pay for living expenses. Thousands of families get help each year. If you need assistance please apply below. They help with: fuel, rent, utilities, medications and food.
