Mission
Our mission is to provide outdoor winter family entertainment for residents and visitors to Carbon County through an improved skating rink.
Use of Funds
In 2010 we purchased a new liner for the rink. The old liner was four years old and had succumbed to heavy wear and tear. Since this is an expensive line item, we will use the funds collected from 2011's Fun run and probably the next two subsequent Fun Runs to purchase our next liner.
Impact
Over the past 4 yeas we have seen usage of the rink continue to increase and have witnessed great progress in the ability levels of the kids and adults who have now been skating for several years. Visitors to Red Lodge are also making good use of the ice rink and are so appreciative of a low cost outdoor activity they can do with their families. Since we have so few people involved in our organization, we are able to plan only a couple of small fundraisers each year and don't have the means to collect donations from the users of the rink. Thus, our involvement with the Fun Run each year is truly invaluable in garnering the financial support we need to continue to provide a safe and run rink for our community
