Carbon County now has its very own online job board, www.rlacf.org/jobs, which is free for both businesses and job seekers to use. This new resource will assist people with finding employment and local businesses in fulfilling their staffing needs.

Unlike most online boards, Carbon County Jobs does not require users to create an account to use the service. “We have made the online form for posting job opportunities as easy as possible,” said Stephen Stefan, Economic Development AmeriCorps VISTA. “It is also a safe tool for job seekers to use since we don’t ask anyone for their personal information. We just simply connect them to employers.”

A recent survey conducted by the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation found the primary way local businesses currently recruit new employees is by word of mouth. The job board helps increase awareness (for free) of openings while connecting job seekers who might not be ‘in the know.’
Businesses will benefit by using the online job board. Benefits include:

  • Carbon County specific, so local jobs will not get lost in postings from Billings, Cody, etc.
  • Automatic postings on various Carbon County social media pages.
  • If you advertise with Carbon County News, your job posts will be put at the top of the list.

In addition to the job board, a Career Resource Directory was developed to help the unemployed and underemployed find advancement opportunities. The directory lists various nonprofit organizations and government programs that provide job trainings, grant opportunities, tuition assistance, etc. To learn more visit www.rlacf.org/career-resources/ or call us at 446-2820.
