Our Purpose
Indigenous Impact Foundation co-creates abundance and fortifies thriving regional Indigenous economies by grounding ourselves in shared experience, data sovereignty, and collective leadership to increase access to capital, expand social and intellectual capital, change narratives, and nurture ecosystems.
We’re inviting you, our friends, family, and community partners, to co-create the next chapter of our work by donating to our new non-profit, Indigenous Impact Foundation.
Your gift comes at a meaningful moment. As we reflect on years of partnership, family, and community, we’re stepping into the next chapter.
Beginning in 2026, our work will center around four long-term strategies that support thriving, regional Indigenous economies fueled by innovation, values, culture, and community:
Increase access to capital
Nurture ecosystems
Expand social and intellectual capital
Change narratives
Your contribution helps us build what’s next, supporting future initiatives such as a 2026 Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend celebration in Red Lodge, MT, filled with Native film, art, food, and deep-rooted collaboration.
Your contribution helps us build that future.
This work is place-based, rooted in Carbon County, Montana, and we acknowledge this place exists because of settler colonial occupation on the ancestral homelands of the Tsitsistas (Cheyenne), Salish, Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (Lakota/Dakota/Nakota), and Apsáalooke peoples, as well as the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla tribes, who remain in deep relationship with this land and all their relatives. We honor our shared responsibility to direct resources and develop place-based programming through collaboration with local communities and the relationships we hold there.

Co-Creating Abundance in Relationship with Native Youth Leaders
Indigenous Impact Foundation, in partnership with the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, helped lift up Native youth leadership by supporting a youth-led fundraising effort to attend the UNITY Midyear Conference. We amplified their campaign through community outreach and a press release, brought students to Red Lodge, supported their public presentation, and helped set up a booth at the Red Lodge Christmas Stroll so they could raise funds directly and share their story with the community. Next generation leadership merits our collective support.

As consultants, Indigenous Impact Co. has spent decades partnering with Native-led organizations to shift capital toward community priorities, helping strengthen ecosystems, and change narratives.
Now, Indigenous Impact Foundation will build on that legacy.
Beyond Capital: The Story of Native CDFI’s and the Buffalo Economy, a featured Mountain | Plains Coalition video that we produced, tells the story of an Indigenous approach to capital. It is a story of our lifetime of work and it is the story of the future of our work together.
How can you Indigenize your own capital flows?
Become a part of the Indigenous Impact Foundation community innovating co-creation of abundance outside of colonialism
in relationship with community
for the benefit of our planet.
