We are looking for candidates for the 3 Americorps VISTA positions here at the Foundation. These VISTA spots will fill much needed gaps in our community that are imperative to our mission. The positions will lead programs including:
Why be a VISTA?
Americorps VISTAs have the opportunity to make a difference in rural and impoverished communities across America. In the process they learn skills that they can take with them the rest of their lives! Skills such as strategic planning, volunteer management, program management, collaboration, grant writing, and more. The positions are a year commitment but have the opportunity to lead to a career at the Foundation. Currently, we have 3 positions at the Foundation that have been filled by previous Americorps VISTAs. The impacts the VISTAs make become assets that are invaluable to our community.

Red Lodge Montana is one of a kind. The rustic charm of the community is only made better by the incredible scenery. Nestled in the base of the Beartooth Mountains, we are surrounded by wilderness that allow for year round adventures! Trails, rivers, trees, and wildlife span through the hills and valleys making our location one of a kind. The ski resort, Red Lodge Mountain, provides wintertime fun on the slopes and the trail systems provide summertime adventures, plus so much more! We are located less than 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park, the Beartooth Scenic Highway starts South of town, and there are nonstop views everywhere in between. Our town not only has lots of attractions including a theater, bowling, golf, shops, arts, expansive dining, and night time entertainment, but it is filled with friendly neighbors who always make you feel at home!
