Are you passionate about transportation services for Carbon County?

The Red Lodge Area Community Foundation is looking for community members, local government officials, and representatives of local organizations to join the Carbon County Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC will be an advisory group that assesses and prioritizes local transportation needs. Members will meet at least quarterly to discuss and make recommendations on various transit related issues. These meetings will be free and open to the public.

As described by the Montana Department of Transportation, the committee should include “representatives of local planning agencies; governments; public transportation providers; human-service agencies providing services to the elderly, individuals with disabilities, low income people, and minority groups; as well as existing or potential riders from the general public and targeted population passengers.”

The first order of business for our TAC is to review and revise a Request for Proposals to create a transit development plan. After receiving bids, the committee will assist in selecting a contractor and raising funds for transportation planning.
