What is a Navigator?

Navigators help low income individuals and families complete various applications for programs and services. They develop personal familiarity (not in-depth expertise) with available programs and services and are often times just a second set of eyes helping to complete applications

Navigators create winning environments!

Supporting low-income families/individuals in Carbon County meet their basic needs. You’ll assist others, make new connections, and learn more about the face of poverty in our community.

Navigators also demonstrate key personal skills like organization, are comfortable dealing with detailed information, have the ability to research detailed materials, are able to maintain confidentiality, and the best part – they set their own schedule!

What are the benefits of being a Navigator?

Service to others, time/flexibility, professional development, community, meeting new people, passion driven causes, episodic volunteering, gain new perspectives, explore your own strengths, maybe even do something for your professional development/because it’s important to you. If any of the above interest you then volunteering as a Navigator might be right for you.
