Become a Match Donor

Welcome to The Red Lodge Fun Run for Charities!

BECOME A MATCH FUND FOUNDER

What is a Match Fund Founder?

The key to a successful Red Lodge Fun Run is the Match Fund, a fund of large gifts of money, stock, or property donated by community and civic-minded Individuals, Foundations, or Corporations to the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation. They become the Match Fund Founders. The Match Fund will be used to match The Red Lodge Fun Run Participants' and donors' contributions, with available Match Funds money.

Here's how it works: The Red Lodge Fun Run participants make a single tax-deductible contribution naming one or more qualified participating nonprofit organizations as the benficiaries on their entry forms. The Red Lodge Area Community Foundation collects these gifts and tracks how much each nonprofit has received. Each qualified nonprofit receives the funds earmarked from the race participants and donors PLUS an amount of up to 100% from the Match Fund. All Match Funds are a 100% tax-deductible gift. Match Fund Founders will be recognized within our extensive marketing program or may remain anonymous. For further information on giving, please call Sally Martin, Red Lodge Area Community Foundation chairperson at 1-866-446-1867.

Community spirited individuals, businesses or foundations that would like to contribute to all the nonprofits will be recognised as follows:

  • Friends: $1000 to $2,499: Receive a T shirt, are included on marketing posters, and the website.

  • Bronze: $2,500 to $4,999: Receive a T shirt, are included on marketing posters, and website. Included in the Awards Dinner, entry forms, newspaper ads, and banner, plus recognition on race day.

  • Silver: $5,000 to $9,999: Receive a T shirt, are included on marketing posters, and website. Included in the Awards Dinner, entry forms, newspaper ads, banner, and TV ads, plus individual recognition on race day.

  • Gold: $10,000 to $24,999: Receive a T shirt, are included on marketing posters, and website. Included in the Awards Dinner, entry forms, newspaper ads, banner, and TV ads, plus individual recognition on race day.

  • Lead Challengers: $25,000 PLUS: Receive a T shirt, are included on marketing posters, and website. Attend the Awards Dinner. Are included on entry forms, newspaper ads, banner, and TV ads, plus individual recognition on race day.
